DANIEL VICKERMAN

04/06/1979 – 18/02/2017

The rugby community is in mourning this week, following the tragic passing of former Wallabies player, Dan Vickerman, last Saturday.

The talented and widely-respected Vickerman played 63 Tests for Australia as a lock forward, being involved in three World Cup campaigns (2003, 2007 and 2011), as well as more than 70 Super Rugby games for the Waratahs and Brumbies over a decade-long career, which was prematurely brought to an end by injury in 2012.

Vickerman will be remembered as a legend of Australian rugby, and one of the true gentlemen of the sport, who generously gave back to the game both during and after his playing days. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Rest easy, Vicks.
